Before knowing more about my class:
What's the relationship between the writing class and this website?
As I have mentioned in the home page, this personal website is used to feature my academic work, collaborate with my classmates and contribute to larger projects in Emory. I am required to publish part of my works in the writing class on this website. And after I complete this course, I will still continue to develop this website to include more writings that are not just limited to course projects. I actually had no prior experience with web design before. But I am trying my best to make this website fabulous.
What I have learnt from this class:
As you can see, the title of this website is "Writing -- From a line of inquiry". Throughout our courses, we are required to start most of the writing assignments with inquiries, that is, good questions that are worthy of pursuing. And these questions are the keys to drive good writing in both the academy and the public sphere. I have never started to write with questions before. And this way of writing really inspires me.
Another thing is that I have learnt to create multi-modal text. Just as I did in my first project. I used videos, music and images to make my texts become vivid and appealing to the readers. And I enjoyed myself in the process too. Later in this course I have also collaborated with three other classmates to design a fabulous webstie that concerns shaping identities through multilingualism.
